Good Citizen Training for good boys and girls!
What is “Canine Good Citizen” training?
“Canine Good Citizen” is a ten step generalized basic obedience and manners test for dogs provided by the American Kennel Club. Items on this test include accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting, walking on a loose leash, coming when called, stay and more! Do you think your dog has what it takes? Then join us for Canine Good Citizen Training & Testing! Canine Good Citizen prep occurs in a group class setting or private lesson setting. Cost may vary depending on what route you decide to take with your dog, but we will help you prepare you and your best friend for the Canine Good Citizen test.
We make training fun for dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes! Ohana Dog Training focuses on the individual dog / handler bond and relationship-based dog training between handler and their canine companion. Our Canine Good Citizen Evaluations are held privately by appointment only. Your dog can receive a ribbon and official title (if AKC registered) via the American Kennel Club. To set up your dog’s first session or testing day with an AKC certified evaluator, you may contact us here for more information.
I am also AKC-approved Canine Good Citizen evaluator and available to test both AKC Advanced Canine Good Citizen (Community Canine) and AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen (Public Access Test equivalent). These are great training opportunities for both Service Dogs in Training and Therapy Dogs in Training! Additionally, if you are looking to gain more titles with your dog you can also try AKC Trick Dog!
